How to determine the height of solar street light pole?

Solar street lights can be used for urban roads, parks, squares and other places lighting, can also be used for urban, rural road lighting. Different places have different requirements for the height of solar street lights, and the installation spacing is related to the installation height. Therefore, the use place should be determined before the installation of solar street lights. Lampposts are lights installed in scenic spots, residential areas and roads. The height of lampposts is not arbitrarily set. They will change with the width of the road, the density of passing vehicles and the surrounding environment. Generally speaking, the height of the conventional lighting lamppost is below 15m, the height of the high pole lighting is usually equal to or greater than 20m, the height of the half-high pole lighting is usually 15~20m, the height of the courtyard fire is generally about 3m, next we will understand it together.

Choice of solar street light pole:

1.Light pole height selection:

Conventional solar lamp pole height 4m, 5m, 6m, 8m, 10m and so on. Generally, the height of street lamps on both sides of national roads shall be no less than 12m, the height of street lamps on both sides of urban side roads shall be no less than 10m, and the height of street lamps on both sides of urban streets shall be no less than 8m.
Scenic spots and parks commonly use solar street lamps of about 7m. For example, most roads built in rural areas have a pavement width of about 5m, and light poles of 4-6m can be used.
In addition, the specific height of solar street lights also has nothing to do with road width, vehicle density, vehicle type, and surrounding trees. We should also take these factors into full consideration when determining the installation height of solar street lights.
The height of the light pole is generally selected according to the width of the road. It is best to choose the height of the light pole which is the same as or slightly larger than the width of the road.

General single lane rural road choice 3-4 meters light pole;
Two-lane rural road options 5-7m light poles;
Four lanes or traffic main road choose 8-12 meters light pole;
Courtyard or other scene lighting is selected according to the lighting range.

2.LED lamp wattage selection:

The wattage of the street lamp should be determined according to the use of the street lamp, the height of the pole and the lumen value of the LED street lamp.

Generally, roads and scenes with less pedestrian traffic can choose LED lamp holder with slightly lower wattage, while roads and scenes with more pedestrian traffic can choose LED lamp holder with slightly higher wattage.

3-4 meters of light pole recommended to choose 15-20 watt LED lamp holder;

5-7 meters of light pole recommended to choose 30-50 watt LED lamp holder;

8-12 meters of light pole recommended to choose 50-100 watt LED lamp holder;

According to the actual situation can choose double LED lamp head street lamp.

3.Selection of diagonal size of flange and floor cage:

First of all, the diagonal size of the flange and the diagonal size of the cage must be unified in order to carry out matching installation.
In general, the higher the height of the solar lamp pole, the larger the diagonal size of the flange and the floor cage, the higher the floor cage height.
3-4 meters light pole selection flange diagonal size and floor cage diagonal size 240mm;
5-7 meters light pole flange diagonal size and floor cage diagonal size 260mm;
8-12 meters light pole selection flange diagonal size and floor cage diagonal size 280mm.

4.Light pole thickness selection:

The thicker the light pole, the stronger the bearing capacity and wind resistance.
3-4 meters light pole thickness is generally 1.5-2.5mm;
The thickness of 5-7 meters light pole is generally 2.5-2.75mm;
The thickness of 8-12 meters light pole is generally 2.75-3.5mm.

Installation spacing and position of solar street lights:

According to the construction drawings and the geological situation of the investigation site, the installation position of the street lamp should be determined with the distance between the street lamps 20-50 meters as the reference value in the place where there is no shade at the top of the street lamp. Otherwise, the installation position of the street lamp should be adjusted appropriately.
General road width about 3-4 meters, 3-4 meters light pole, 15-20 watt LED lamp holder, installation distance should be 20-25 meters;
General road width about 5-7 meters, 5-7 meters light pole, 30-50 watt LED lamp holder, installation distance should be 30-40 meters;
General road width about 8-12 meters, 8-12 meters light pole, 50-120 watt LED lamp holder, installation distance should be 30-50 meters.

Orientation of solar panels

The solar panels should be facing the sun for the most hours.
Note: The direction of solar panels can be adjusted appropriately according to the blocking condition of buildings or trees, generally within 20 degrees to the west or east (the west effect is better than the east).
